Very good restaurant overall Food super tasty, the staff always attentive, the hostess/manager was very nice to get us a table although we didn’t have reservation by explaining a time limit. Just one personal preference, you should have “normal” bread on the menu... it was a crime to send all that amazing sauce back to the kitchen Best meal we had in Scotland

We spent a beautifully relaxed evening here in early Dec. As soon as we entered there was a very warm welcome and the two of us were escorted to our table. The staff served everyone efficiently and to a very high standard although still found time to be friendly and take an interest in each of their customers by having a short conversation with them which, in my opinion, makes the customer feel special The food was exceptional and the only problem we found was that this was our only visit here during our stay in Dunfermline. We were also given plenty of time during the evening which allowed us to indulge in 3 courses This restaurant is a gem for fine dining and besides our 3 courses we also had a bottle of wine, coffee and liqueur so when it came time to pay our 220, we felt it was worth every penny ! We will definately be reserving a table at this establishment again when we return to Dunfermline next Dec

My wife is a vegetarian and loved your establishment. She loved the choice on offer. She particularly enjoyed Bok Choy. If you could share the ingredients and method for cooking this I would be eternally grateful. Happy wife happy life. Would thoroughly recommend this eatery to Carnivores ( like myself ) as well. Thanks again for your fantastic hospitality.

This little place had been recommended to me and it did not disappoint. The food was AMAZING with a brilliant selection on the menu and knowledgeable, very helpful staff. I can’t pick one thing that I loved the most. It really was that good. If I absolutely had to find fault in anything at all, it would be that the noise levels do travel but that’s more due too the snug and cosy set up... but that’s part of the character!!

UPDATE - A year on from my first visit, Jack O Bryan's is even better. We went for lunch this time, the plates are small, but everything on the plate is there for a reason - there is no "filler". We had the bread, both taco options, a plate of scallops each and the chocolate/cherry dessert each. Very satisfied, without being uncomfortably full. This was a surprise - I had no idea what to expect when I walked through the door. I saw a few staff waiting inside, and thought they had no customers. I walked in thinking I was doing them a favour on a slow night. I was shown through to the quiet main restaurant where a few couples were eating, and took a look at the menu. I wasn't particularly hungry, and the desserts sounded good, so I chose the shrimp starter and the Black Forrest dessert. I also chose the Bitter and Twisted beer rather than anything from the wine menu. One of the staff suggested adding the home made bread with black pork crackling butter, since the starter is a single (extremely large) shrimp. I was blown away by everything I ate. There is so much care in every single thing that was served, and the flavours were out of this world. I cut that shrimp into really thin sections to savour every scrap of the garnish. The dessert was a work of art, and perfectly cooked. With pleasant, attentive servers, the complete experience is a seamless display of attention to detail. I will be back, I want this restaurant to be one of the first things my wife experiences when she arrives in Dunfermline.

We went here for dinner after receiving several recommendations and were not disappointed. Our server was superb. He alone was five stars, a true professional. As the food arrived, we continued to be impressed with the quality and presentation. The night we went was relatively quiet, with only four other couples, so it was hard to grade the atmosphere. The room was nice but a little bright for me; however, this didn't stop me from grading this superb restaurant as a 5-star experience, and I would highly advise you to try it for yourself.

Great little restaurant with a cosy modern welcoming warm atmosphere where the staff are friendly, confident on their offerings and came across proud too. Ordered starters as Salmon Crab and Iberian Black Pig then main courses as Steak and Lobster and special version of the Picanha steak. There was a special side of Corn Ribs which sounded quite unique so ordered them too. Everything was absolutely delicious. See pictures. Well cooked, well presented and fantastic flavours. Desert was a unique take on Sticky Toffee Pudding and equally scrummy. Enjoyable unhurried evening and although it's not cheap I found the service and quality probably justified the cost. If I was returning again I would probably try the Iberian Black Pig speciality as my main course because the starter version of it was just soooooo goooooood.

We took my mother there for her birthday, and the food and service were outstanding. They can't cater to all dietary restrictions, but I had no problem eating gluten free. Love the atmosphere of the place as well...I found the lighting a bit bright at our table (we were seated at the front of the restaurant) but staff dimmed lighting upon request and then it was perfect. Highly recommend!
